If you are seeking a word game that combines excitement with a challenge, while also enhancing your vocabulary and mental agility, Last Letter First presents a noteworthy option. This free online game allows for solitary play or competition against friends and others, offering both points-driven challenges and casual enjoyment.

Last Letter First is structured around simple yet engaging gameplay, where players take turns contributing words based on the last letter of the previous entry. The rules are straightforward:

<ol>
 <li>A player submits a word.</li>
 <li>The next player must enter a word beginning with the last letter of the preceding word.</li>
 <li>This sequence continues until a player either misspells a word or repeats a previously used one.</li>
</ol>

Points are awarded according to the value of each letter in the chosen words. Players incur strikes for errors, with three strikes resulting in elimination from the game. The overall winner is the last player remaining.

For example:

 <li>Player 1 proposes "sailboat" for X points.</li>
 <li>Player 2 follows with "trumpet," starting with 't' for Y points.</li>
 <li>Player 3 incorrectly spells "trafic," earning a strike.</li>
 <li>Player 1 then plays "tiresome" for Z points, continuing the chain.</li>
 <li>Player 2 adds "excellent," while Player 3 successfully contributes "tickle."</li>
</ul>

The game continues until two players have received three strikes.
